I am an SEF volunteer and donor for several years. The amazing dedication and the organizational skills of SEF volunteers is extraordinary. The cause is very inspiring in itself. What is better than giving a gift of vision? Giving that gift to millions of people. Work with SEF to give that gift to millions.

A wonderful organization with some of the most dedicated patrons and volunteers I can imagine. Their goal of achieving "Vision 20/20 by the year 2020" in India (eradicate curable blindness in India by the year 2020), though seemed steep a few years ago, now seems totally feasible. The integrity of the organization, coupled with the dedication to quality service makes it a highly rewarding experience to be part of. Looking forward, the organization needs to (and it is) focus on expanding to other geographies even further that can take them closer to their goal.
The Great!

Sankara Eye Foundation is probably the only India-focused non-profit that has a well defined mission, backed up by real projects and successful execution. Sankara's volunteers not only work hard but work with passion as well.

I am a longtime volunteer and supporter of SEF USA. I started volunteering from the time the organization started in US in 1998. Its been a great experience to be a part of this wonderful organization of honest, motivated and hard working volunteers. I have seen this organization grow from supporting one hospital in India to 8 hospitals performing 100,000 surgeries. Nothing is impossible for this wonderful group with a clear mission of vision 20/20 by the year 2020. It has been a very humbling experience. This is also our extended family far away from home. For my son this is his family. Our parent org in India has also been voted as the NGO with the best rural outreach program. I am glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of this org and hope to see it achieve its goal.

Sankara Eye Foundation is an amazing organization. I especially appreciate the transperancy and honesty of the organization. My entire family and all my friends have since contributed to Sankara and have seen their money go to good work. It is is PHENOMENAL organization and they really mean it when they say every person matters: patients, volunteers, everyone.
