SANKARA EYE FOUNDATION USA

A fluke interaction with a Sankara volunteer about 10 years ago was the beginning of a wonderful association. It is rare to find a more dedicated group of folks who are really working for the betterment of our organization.
Give generously, knowing that all funds are stretched to the max.
We are always willing to answer questions and provide information requested.
Come and join the Sankara Family.

I have been tracking Sankara Eye Foundation for quite sometime now because I first felt they were trying to imitate SankaraNethrayala and get some mileage out ot it. But I realised this was a highly motivated and dedicated team out to eradicate blindness all over India. I was there at their Bangalore Hospital inaguration and they have a concrete plan to open new hospitals almost every six months and make it self sustaining in a few years and at the same time serving the poorest of the poor with international quality eye care.Hats off to the team.
The Great!

A great organization led by passionate volunteers to eradicate blindness of the poor in India. 20 hospitals by 2020 - crossed half the distance in less than 10 years! A remarkable achievement in deed! The beauty of the approach by SEF is creating accountability by the recipient hospitals to be self sufficient within 5 years of operation by balancing paying clients with charity effort. A novel charity effort with accountability!

I have witnessed first hand the dedicated service by Sankara Eye Foundation, USA and it's counterapart in Coimbatore. They not only have the vision (20/20 by 2020), but orhganizational ability to flawlessly execute that vision. It can easily be compared to Gates Foundation in terms of its laser like focus in dedicattion and service. With strong support of the volunteers, I can clearly see the day when they will have one hospital in every state and complete a million surgeries in India!

SEF have the great vision of achieving vision of 20/20 for every person struggling with their blindness in india by year 2020. I have been involved in organizing some of the event for SEF at Detroit, Michigan. It has been quite satisfying to know that you are working for Non Profit Organization which does so many great things. What i like most about SEF, is that they have united the people of all religion, caste and state to one common cause - remove blindness by year 2020. I also feel that they have outstanding management and administrative team who work hard to make sure that every dollar is spent wisely.

outstanding in their commitment for the cause - remove blindness from India. It is my belief that person who is able and capable will be able to work hard and provide for his/her family. Removing blindness helps them overcome this obstacle.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
It can build Eye hospital in every state of the india. This would give a hope and will make 'quite a fundamental change' in the quality of life for these people.

My husband had recently participated in the SEF's half marathon and I did assist with filling water in the cups for the runners for some time. It was a great experience and felt good at heart to offer such help to the runners and to the organization as well. Kudos to the Organization as well as the people who run it & who devote their time ,energy and money to organize such events, wherein such monetary benefits goes to the poor and the needy. Most of all, we should be proud to be associated with such an organization who helps someone to see the world!!

It is my honor and privilege to be associated with such a fine organization that has been working tirelessly to help cure blindness in India with innovative programs and care facilities in various parts of India. It is amazing to see how within a decade Sankara has built state of the art hospitals in various parts of India and providing ongoing support to spread the eye care that is necessary, especially in rural parts of India. I am glad to be a donor to such a worthy cause.
