i went here for an evening volunteer event. friends do it more regularly than I. you show up at a set time, and they break you into groups and have you do things like sort cans, sort produce, or pack up food.
it was reasonably organized, and reasonably social when you go with friends. i guess I could have used a bit more info on the organization's mission and where everything goes, but they did have a brief intro and tour.
The Great!
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... the volunteer experience, but it was my only experience
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... helpful and friendly.
Ways to make it better!
- If I ran this organization, I would... provide a bit more "feel good" info to volunteers to send them home feeling more warm and fuzzy
