Founded in 1990 as a food pantry for a local church, the Samaritan Community Center became an independent 501(c)3 organization in 2002. The Northwest Arkansas community is experiencing a large population and wealth growth which has greatly increased the cost of living, especially in the area of housing costs. As costs continue to rise, the disabled, elderly, and working poor face increased financial difficulty. Our desire is to help clients regain hope, through addressing all aspects of the person (physical, mental, financial, and spiritual).

Well established organization aware of the growing needs and working hard to meet them. The organization needs more funding. The hunger and needs are growing at a much greater speed than volunteers and donations. It's a pleasure and blessing to be a part and help.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Extremely kind and loving. They care for the needy and treat everyone the same.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Change many lives and the poverty level in Northwest Arkansas
