Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary is dedicated to the care of rescued, non-releasable wolves and wolfdogs. We do not buy, sell, or breed them. We believe they deserve a stable home for the rest of their natural lives, with an abundance of loving and compassionate care. We also support educating the public about issues involving wolves and wolfdogs, and dispelling the many myths that surround these frequently misunderstood animals. We welcome community organizations, groups, and individuals who wish to visit and learn the truth about wolves and wolfdogs, and why these are rarely suitable companion animals.
We have directly rescued and provided loving, lifelong homes to 24 animals--many of them saved from situations of extreme abuse or neglect--and have saved many more through our networking and conversations with owners, shelters, and Animal Control agencies. We have also educated tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world about wolves and wolfdogs.

Reviews for Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary
I have been a life-long admirer of wolves. I have collected many wolf-related items. When I was downsizing my collection, I thought about St. Francis Wolf Sanctuary as the perfect place to donate my treasured items. I was allowed to tour the sanctuary, hear their story and see how well maintained and how well managed the wolves and wolf-dogs are. Each enclosure is very large allowing the animals room to roam. Even though it was a very hot summer day, you could tell the temperature difference by the animal enclosures due to the misting system in use. All in all I am very impressed with how well cared for and how happy the animals seem to be.
