The Unity Club provides a "safe haven" for people recovering from drug/alcohol addictions. Through the meetings, they provide support for those in recovery. Through social events, such as ball games, picnics, parties, etc., they provide a safe social atmosphere for those in recovery.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Being able to happily obtain 5+ years of sobriety while making new friends that travel the same sobriety journey as I do.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The fellowship provided and the counsel of "older" members when help or guidance is needed.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

I have been a member of the Unity Club since it's inception. The availability of the physical plant and especially the membership have been instrumental in my continuing recovery. The club serves a great number of people who do not have the finncial means to support the club. Donations in cash or in kind are always needed and appreciated and go along way in supporting the club's members and non-members, alike.

The Unity Club was founded in 2000 by 9 recovering alcoholics that felt their was a need for a spot for recovering alcoholics and addicts to congregate and have AA or NA meetings. The club has grown slowly and to date serves around 5-600 People a month with 57 12 step meetings per month. The club also hosts partys, dances, game nights, cookouts and more. This is where I attend most of my AA meetings. i was also one of the founding members

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

as a founding father, board member, current president, building a web site and an online store

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Find a way to increase our funding so we can afford to heat and air condition the meeting rooms

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the fellowship and challenges

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very commpasionate, dedicated and caring

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Spread out to reach more people afflicted by the horrible disease of alcoholism and addiction

Ways to make it better...

we had more funding

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Fund raising

One thing I'd also say is that...

The Unity club feels like a living breathing entity with a soul amd presence of its own. When you are there you can feel the love within the walls.
