We adopted our baby boy from SPOT. We found him online, contacted the organization and received confirmation he was still available. Our boy was part of a rescue from an over populated farm. He was bottle fed by his rescuers. They were very thorough with the questions asked to determine if we were a good fit. We got to talk first hand to the couple that took him and his litter mates in and bottle fed them. I sent an updated photo of him and was most please to receive baby pictures of him back. Great people to work with, a wonderful experience, and the most loving cat to call our own. Thank you for all you do to help our furry friends in need.

I became a volunteer after being a satisfied client. The people in this organization work tirelessly to make a better life for any and all animals that come into their care. Medical care being at the top of the list, then love and comfort and finding appropriate homes. I don't think the general public has any idea of the amount of dedication and compassion the people in this organization exhibit, all on a VERY tight budget. An ongoing small monthly donation would be a HUGE help to allow this organization to continue with all of their good work. Take a look into the eyes an any abandoned or abused animal and your heart breaks. These people deal with that image constantly. If we would open our hearts and our checkbooks, this organization would be able to do so much more in our community.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I adopted an adorable puppy mill dog who is thriving now. She went from looking sad and pathetic to being a great joy for our family. She was so pathetic looking other organization might have put her down, but not SPOT!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Help them find the right people to publish what they do so donations would increase.

This is a small organization (in people numbers) that helps a lot of animals and also the people in Skagit County and the surrounding area. The members are dedicated, caring and hard-working for the animals. They work with local veterinarians and have on-going training to make sure they have current information to give proper care to the animals. They are all-foster, not a shelter. Screening adopters helps make sure the animals are a good match with the families who adopt. Education regarding spay/neuter is an omportant part of their work.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the numbers of animals they have placed in good foster homes, and the relationships or the people that work together within the group.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the satisfaction of improving the lives of the animals that come into their care, and working with the people of this organization.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring compassionate people from all different backgrounds, thus enhancing my own personal life experience.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

continue its work with no limits! What they could do would be awe-inspiring and amazing!
