A wonderful venue for citizens of Boston. Well conceived, developed and executed. I loved watching families enjoy the the various environmrents. Any city would be fortunate to have this very special place.

The Greenway is a great place to volunteer! The Horticulture staff is always friendly and informative about the project and any other random plant question you may have. The hort staff also always comes prepared with tools and water - so you know you're in good hands.

In the midst of the hurly-burly of the Boston Waterfront, a beautiful, serene, flowering 15 acre space creates an environment for family activities that we think is unparalleled anywhere. We walk the Greenway frequently and love watching the kids play in the fountains and ride the carousel. We're very excited about the new carousel that will be a permanent fixture beginning next summer and the public art currently on the Greenway and being planned for it. And we are even more excited by the ideas that the creative Greenway staff has for its future use. It is the best!

The Greenway is a gem in the city of Boston! Volunteering here with an amazing staff is very rewarding. The horticultural staff does an amazing job maintaining the Greenway with a small and dedicated staff. The Greenway is maintained organically, so a star among the parks in Boston! One of the best places to volunteer in the city.

I have been volunteering on the Greenway for over 3 years now. The very small horticultural staff is one of the hardest working in this city. The entire Greenway is maintained organically, and the results are healthier and more beautiful gardens and trees. This is one of the most rewarding volunteer opportunities in Boston. A chance to be outdoors with a very knowledgeable staff who are dedicated to maintaining a gem within our city!

If you're missing that connection to the earth from when you had a yard, this is a wonderful volunteer opportunity. It's especially good if you love gardening but have very little idea what you should be doing - they're excellent at directing their volunteer groups. They can't afford to have a large staff, so they rely on volunteers to keep the work manageable. Your impact is obvious, and you'll have a greater appreciation for the parks afterward.

This fantastic organization provides me c a learning experience each time I'm there. It's an honor and a pleasure to work c, and their knowledge is so diversified. I will officially become a Greenway Volunteer starting 1 January 2013, and soon will be a member and giving financially on a regular basis.

Last summer I spent a couple of weeks volunteering for the RFK Greenway conservancy. I found it to be a terrific experience and a highlight of my summer. Also, I met a many interesting people and learned about horticulture and how the park is maintained. Lastly I found the park to be a great place to experience nature while in an urban setting and center for the community.

I have been involved with the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy as a volunteer since 2010, and then as a member of the horticultural staff from 2011-2012, and I will keep coming back in any capacity I can. I believe not only in the mission of this organization, but also in the wonderful people who continue to work so hard to bring something beautiful to the city of Boston. This young non-profit thrives on the public support it receives, and continues to grow and broaden its positive contributions to the city of Boston. The Rose F. Kennedy Greenway is much more than just a public park. As one of the only organically-maintained public green spaces, the landscape has developed into a beautiful garden with something to offer any visitor, and the Conservancy does such a wonderful job of providing meaningful programs and fun activities for people of all ages. This organization is truly living up to what it has promised and more, and I look forward to watching and helping the Greenway continue to grow in the future.

I have been helping out for a while, and it is the employees and volunteers that keep me coming back. The work is really well-organized, we are well-equipped to do our tasks, and everybody works really well together. Of course it also feels great to be able to improve my neighborhood, as well as others. I have also learned a lot from staff about horticulture, and I enjoy connecting with nature in the midst of my urban life.

As a neighbor of the Greenway it has been amazing to witness the development of this wonderful urban park. Where once we saw an ugly elevated highway we now find beautiful gardens, fountains, lawns, farmers markets, food trucks and an ever increasing number of activities and special events. And all of this is made possible by a very talented, hardworking and personable staff. This staff makes volunteering for the Conservancy a most enjoyable and rewarding experience. The Greenway Conservance is truly a Great Nonprofit!
