As a patient navigator of Denver Health Medical Center, my job is to help our patients overcome barriers to care. Many of our patients have serious and/or dire financial circumstances. Rocky Mountain Cancer Center Foundation has helped with financial assistance with most of my patients. Thier financial aide came at a time when these patients were in extreme financil need. It has been a pleasue working with RMCCF these past four years in obtaining financial help for my patients.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
obtaining financial help for my patients. One example involved a patient with advanced breast cancer who wasn't able to continue working and RMCCF helped pay for her medical, dental, cancer and life insurance deductions during her FML for 3 pay periods.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I wouldn't change anything about this great organization. I personally am proud to contribute to now yearly to their mission.

provide grants to continue patient navigation for patients who are underinsured, uninsured and undocumented who walk into Denver Health with later stage cancers who need help in overcoming so many psychosocial barriers to care.

raising more money to meet the demands.

I appreciate working with Stephanie Shulman who has always responded to my emails, calls and questions/concerns about my applications.
