I am so great full to be a part of a team that is dedicated to helping those who are truly in need. I am confident that the mission saves lives because they saved mine. I am just past my 3rd year serving and I find each day as rewarding as the one before. The Rockford Rescue Mission is truly dedicated to the art of rescue recover and restore. GOD Bless all the efforts of so many who dedicate their time to this mission.

I love the work that they do for the homeless. The new cafe bussiness is a cool place to go for lunch and meet with friends. It has great food also.

I continue to be amazed at not only the overnight crisis relief that the Mission provides to men and women who have no one to turn to, but actually have a Certified Recovery program that is FREE to those who really desire to change their life and restore relationships. The vocational training program that was launched will help those who have completed the recovery program to transition back into the workforce.

The rockford rescue mission made a large impact on my life I was first exposed to the mission in 1989 after losing my home my family and my job due to a drug and alchol addiction. I had no where else to turn it was during the chapel servise I heard a sermon and confesed Christ. Sinse that time I have became and ordained minister and have started a recovery ministrey that has been going for 10 years and it has helped thousands of people and it all started at the rescue mission helping me with an introduction to Christ and food and shelter.

I began volunteering at Rockford Rescue Mission in 1996 and was truly amazed at the breadth of the Mission's programs. Not only does Rockford Rescue Mission feed and shelter people 365 each day of the year (they serve 3 meals every day), they also have a life recovery program that helps men and women rebuild their lives. The success of the program far exceeds secular shelters. As a current staff member I am fortunate to work side-by-side men and women who first came to the Mission as clients or guests and have successfully turned their lives around, abandoning destructive life styles.
