When I saw what Kenny Dickerson of River of Hope was doing for the residents of Duroville. I was amazed! He showed and explained to me a comprehensive plan to reinvigorate the community on all levels. The project is incredible. I wish the River of Hope the best of luck on this wonderful project. Keep up the good work! Gabriel Rivera Green Bay Group, LLC

I have been a regular visitor to Duroville ove the last 9 months. In that time, I have gotten to know many of the children and their families. The vision of River of Hope is the answer to what these people have been praying for. They need safe, clean, affordable housing. The people are living in deplorable conditions. The drinking water is not safe, the electricity is not safe. Many of them live in old single wide mobile homes that have rodents and coach roaches. At times the children are covered with bites on them from the roaches and one girl had a spider bite that could have killed her if I did not urge her parents to seek medical attention. They are hard working people that have little left to pay for food after the rent and living expenses. As bad as things are there for them, it is better than what they face if they had to return to Mexico. The violence and criminal activity including sex trafficking is so bad that it is dangerous for them to return. Many of the girls that I know are from 10-14 years old. They would not have a chance of survival there. Some of them were very young when they came here or were born here. They have dreams, to go to school and college, to become successful and help their families. This can be possible if the River of Hope can get the funding they need to fulfill the visions that they have for "Los Duros" or Duroville. If you knew the children and the families they will serve, your hearts would melt. If you saw the conditions they live in, your hearts would break. Your generosity could be life changing for these families that I have come to know and love. Jessica, Cecelia, Marisol, Consuelo, Miguel, Jonathan, Annaee, Diana, Effreil, Mercedes, Augustine, Ivan, Jose, Nelle, Cynthia, Jessica C., Maya, just to name a few. They need a River of Hope, for hope is all they have.

I have not been involved long enough to know what changes need to be made. The people of Duroville trust me and I value that trust. I don't want to raise any false hopes for the them. But I believe that Kenny Dickerson and the River of Hope has their best interest at heart. I will work to help protect the people of Duroville and support the River of Hope in any way I can.

Kenny Dickerson and The River of Hope Organization are doing critical work to help the needy and homeless here in the Coachella Valley exhibited by the new home they are building for Wesa and her boys.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Witnessing the construction of a new home for a very poor woman who took three orphaned boys into her home and is raising them as her own. Their previous home was literally falling down around them and not fit for human habitation.

River of Hope has an inspiring master plan of not only providing immediate help with affordable housing, but with a long-term vision of self-sufficiency. They want to help people with housing, job and career skills training, and general self-esteem foundations. Also focusing on green building and living techniques and materials, River of Hope's investment is more than long-term...it's generational.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

In SoCal, where donated materials, time and labor provided a home for an amazing family down on their luck.

I can't recommend any changes, but I would love to see this organization grow and spread...to be able to help all who are in need and are willing to put forth the effort required to bring a sense of pride and accomplishment.
