I have worked at River City Repertory Theatre as an actress in three shows: Stepping Out, The Member of the Wedding, and Doubt. The opportunity to work in professional theatre in Shreveport helped me beef up my resume and gain even more acting experience. I have also been an audience member for many of their productions. It was always a pleasure to take my mother to see RCRT shows as they are high-quality, entertaining, and thought-provoking. I am proud to have a professional theatre company in Shreveport. The people of Shreveport-Bossier deserve access to the arts and RCRT is one more (outstanding!) path to culture, education, and employment for artists.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Being paid to perform as a professional actress.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Hire a full-time General Manager and a full-time Director of Development.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Watching shows (the ones that I am not in!)with my mother and coming away with a wonderful theatre experience.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Dedicated and hard-working.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Win the Tony for best regional theater and bring acclaim and revenue to Shreveport.

Ways to make it better...

I had been able to be paid more.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Lack of funding and a lack of a permanent theater.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Every little bit helps. Every penny that is donated to RCRT helps revitalize Shreveport's economy and improve the arts in the area.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
