When I first heard about Right 2 Thrive and all the great things Janet Patry, the founder, had accomplished I was inspired and motivated. I wanted to do more. I started attending events and donating for this great cause and eventually became a Board Member. It's that inspiring! Right 2 Thrive is doing great things and helping shape the community is involved in. In time I can see this organization helping more communities in Kenya and having a bigger reach. Help us continue the great work Janet started!

I have been a supporter of Right 2 Thrive, and have watched it grow over the past few years. While it is a small organization run solely by a volunteer Board and an Executive Director who is currently forgoing a salary, Right 2 Thrive is mighty! By working directly in and with the local community of Kabiria in Nairobi, Right 2 Thrive has a keen understanding of what the issues are, what the people need and how to empower them to set the goals needed to get there. The organization not only funds the basic needs of a children’s home (that supports 46 children and their caretakers) but it provides free empowerment and skills training programs to the local residents. These programs are meant to inspire, provide basic skills training which help participants visualize and strive for a better future, and to actively pursue job opportunities and better their community. What’s even better is that these programs are led and taught by local Kenyans. Kenyans teaching and inspiring other Kenyans! Right 2 Thrive’s mission to build a self-sustaining community is well on its way. I had the great fortune to travel to Kenya last summer and work with Right 2 Thrive’s Executive Director of local projects and document the work being done. I can say first hand that money raised is well spent and the projects are well thought out. With very little overhead cost, almost every penny of every dollar donated currently goes right to the children and free programs for the community of Kabiria. I’m proud to be a supporter!
