Richards Institute's courses in Education Through Music not only teach about the brain and how learning happens best - they actually show teachers how to implement best practices for all learners. They bring joy back into teaching, and help professionals become the very best possible advocates for children. If you want to raise caring, resilient, thoughtful, problem-solving children, I have great news - this works! I wish every adult who cares about children could have the benefit of this training. It's our best chance to bring about the kind of world I want!

The Richards Institute have held workshops and music camps in the United States, Canada, and Japan where teachers, educators and children have learned about the brain and how children learn. Many lives have been impacted in this manner.

Thousands of children throughout the United States, Canada and Japan have greatly benefitted from the training educators have received from The Richards Institute. Teachers who participate in the classes sponsored by the Richards Institute gain a high level of understanding of child development as well as the neuroscience of learning. While actively participating in the multi-sensory experiences collected and developed by Mary Helen Richards, children are highly focused on learning. At the same time they develop a high level of regard for others--thus helping to reduce bullying and aggression. As a teaching professional, I have observed hundreds and hundreds of children who have become more available for learning because of the training I have received. I am extremely grateful for the privilege of participating in this study.

This is a group of educators, parents, and community professionals studying together to better understand how children learn. Using music and constructive play, children learn language, social, and musical skills in a very "child-centered" curriculum.
