Reynolda House is truly an asset to our community. Not only serving as a cultural center, but also fulfilling the mission our city of looking to the future while honoring our past. Their ability to continually bring young people in and get them involved in the arts while maintaining "Mr. Reynolds" home is truly something. Never stale and always wonderful.

When I attended Wake Forest University, my friends and I went to Reynolda House a great deal, and we learned so much about American Art. I have always found the staff so friendly and informative. I'm not a "museum" person, but Reynolda House is not at all stuffy, and the home itself is so beautiful.
As a parent, I have taken my children often to Reynolda House, and they truly enjoy the trips. Reynolda House has great programs for children, and we try to utilize those as often as possible. I also find unique and creative gifts at their gift shop.

There are a number of reasons to visit Reynolda House, and regardless of your particular interest, you will be glad yoo did.

The home of one of the nation's greatest businessmen, R J Reynolds, it is an architectual gem and an excellent example of the great southern country estate. His wife Katherine Smith was quite a dynamic personality and created a model farm -- in fact, a complete villege -- which she personally oversaw. Many of the buildings are now retail businesses that make for an interesting shopping and dining experience.

IReynolda House prides itself on being a sampler of great American art. The collection doesn't overwhelm you and when you have completed your tour, you realize you have seen excellent examples of the best America has to offer.

Its new gallery is perfect for smaller visiting shows and because of its splendid reputation in the arts community, it attracts the best. You can always count on a good experience in its new gallery wing.

There is all this and much more , including the prefect spot for a picnic and lots of space for kids and grandkids to run and play.

Reynolda House is quite the magestic place full of unique American Art. As a formal affiliate and neighbor to the beautiful Wake Forest University, the staff and board have greatly improved the facilities and programmatic offerings.

Reynolda House is a true gem for the Winston-Salem community. It is a serene and beautifully preserved house AND an incredible collection of American Art. I enjoyed working there for seven years back in the early 1990's and still love to attend events and take visiting friends and family members there. The range of programs and activities offered makes it easy to find reasons to return often. There is always something new to learn!

Feels like home to me. I lived for 14 years in a house in Winston by the same architect and I remember walking in and feeling that same warmth that I felt in my own home. The docent program gave me the opportunity to make friends, serve my community and help in enriching the lives of special needs children throughout the county. Fantastic collection, friendly staff, and beautiful surroundings - what's not to love!

Upon the first visit you are drawn to the architecture as well as the exciting history of the Reynolda House. The house and museum both interlink and hold one of (I think) the best collection of American Decorative Arts! Period! Beautiful, captivating and priceless walk through the Golden Age of America's industrial families, the Reynolds Family! A great experience and a treasure for the Winston Salem area!
