A friend told me about Rest Ministries more than ten years ago. At that time, I wrote two, maybe three devotionals which RM emailed out with their newsletter. Then, I drifted away into other projects. I can’t remember when I found them again, and it was so different! I have secondary-progressive Multiple Sclerosis and was searching for a Christian site … this was it! They have so many programs available, like the Sunroom where you can connect with others. It’s so important to find others who know, first hand, what you’re going through.

I've experienced the support of others. Also, I've bought things from their online store.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

From my end, I can't think of anything to change. From their end, maybe grants or funding (more!) to help with operations.

In 2000, I injured my back after numerous surgeries, I was left in chronic pain. Rest Ministries was a breath of fresh air! To find resources, encouragement, support and ideas from people who experience pain and illness–yet thrive, was a wonderful gift! Now I recommend this site to anyone who has pain or an illness and their friends and caregivers. Each one has found materials to help their specific situation. Rest Ministries provides hope! Rest Ministries is a good source of information presented with great compassion.

I discovered Rest Ministries about 8 years ago. it became a big source of support and information in my physical battles with Fibromyalgia, IBS, Depression and Anxiety. Lisa Copen has a heart of service to those within her organization. It provides a link to a world most of us would have no access to - the world of people just like us trying to live day to day. The research provided is vital to all of it's members as we learn to live and work with our various Invisible Illness. I have recommended Lisa Copen and Rest Ministries to many friends who need the support and information provided there.
