tipping a cat's ear is not barbaric. letting cats breed even once is barbaric. as someone who has dealt with feral cats for years I know tipping the ear is vital to knowing who is who. rescue ranch does a wonderful and vital service for the cat population and I dearly hope everyone will take advantage of it as I have many times. I long for the day when there is not even one homeless cat. maybe then I can take a vacation. until that day I will continue to rescue every cat I can and have them spayed and neutered and ear tipped at rescue ranch. Even though I did not bring my cats here to get fixed I'm sad to say that I find tipping a cat's ear is barbaric. Any form of mutilation is wrong. ASPCA does not agree with this form of methods and I will be contacting them.

The Rescue Ranch is an awesome organization, and I would like to say that I support them with all my heart. By heart I mean I am behind them all the way. I love animals and have since I was a small child. I am going to college to be a veterinary technician and with one year left I hope to maybe be a part of this wonderful organization. Organizations such as these warm my heart. I speak so kindly about them because they have helped me alot with spaying and neutering my kitties and doggies. Being an animal lover, but not having the money at hand all the time can be heart breaking and they have solved that problem. Thanks Rescue Ranch, and Mrs. Barbara Bruigiom.

I think that you need to get the word out more about the program you have in the Helena, McRae area. Since I have moved here four months ago I know of four dogs that have been dropped off somewhere. You sound like you have a great org. just need to spread the word a little more. I accidently found you on the internet.

Barbara helped me with my cats not getting along when I got a new cat, and when one of my cats had an infected paw on the weekend and my vet was not available. She is so knowledgeable and caring.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

could do more to help with animals of all kinds that need care and healing. I'm sure she could tell you more of how she could use the money more effectively than I could.

I chose to be a board memeber of The Rescue Ranch when I saw their dedication to animals and the enviroment. The current goals of aggressive spay and neuter programs goes a long way towards dealing with unwanted and abandoned pets. 90% of all money raised goes directly to the animals. In today's economy it is important to get a good value for your dollar. There is no better, more professional organization than this one - I am proud to be a part of it.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

how so much is accomplished on so few dollars. There is already measurable differences in the unwanted pet populations of middle GA.

The Rescue Ranch has been invaluable in providing educational information to me on animal care for numerous species. Most recently, I received advice and detailed instructions for relocating a feral cat colony. The feral cats that I had TNR (trapped, neutered and returned) and whom I had been feeding and caring for during the past 2 years were going to be trapped to be “disposed of” which I could not allow to happen. With the information that I obtained from Barbara Bruigom of The Rescue Ranch, I was able to successfully relocate these sweet feral felines so I can continue to care for them. The relocation turned out better than I could have hoped, and it was all due to Barbara’s patient guidance and advice. Additionally, I learned how to safely deal with the snakes living in my yard, happily for me and for the snakes. I also learned practical information for living with the raccoons and ducks in my neighborhood without jeopardizing the wild nature of these animals.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Barbara! She is a blessed treasure! Her knowledge, patience and generousity simply cannot be matched! Her love and concern for all animals is unparralleled.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do wonders for animals as well as humans. The plan for The Rescue Ranch to have a teaching center to educate the public on animals' habitat and care is the best way to promote Green Living.

The Rescue Ranch is very dedicated to spaying and neutering all pets. They do a wonderful job helping out pet owners that may not be able to afford to have their pet spayed or neutered. It has been a pleasure working with Barbara to help stop the overpopulation of puppies and kittens. This is a wonderful organization.

There dedication to having all cats and dogs spayed and neutered

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I believe in what they are doing. The staff have all been wonderful to work with.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Go a long way with helping with the overpopulation in rural areas

Ways to make it better...

They need more funds so that more animals can be spayed or neutered.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Lack of funds.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This is a great group that is helping with the overpopulation of unwanted puppies and kittens. They need more help.

I had a stray cat who had six kittens. Through the Rescue Ranch I was able to have my cat spayed and place all of the kittens. I have attended many of the fundraisers at Cedar Lane Supper Club and they are always very enjoyable. I am proud to have this service in my community and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into keeping it afloat.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

more aggressively pursue cases of animal neglect and abuse by operating a no-kill animal shelter.

Ways to make it better...

our community would actively support this organizations with donations.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

money, keeping the public motivated to support the fundraisers, difficulty in obtaining state or federal grant monies.

One thing I'd also say is that...

before the Rescue Ranch it was heartbreaking to ride by and see starving dogs with puppies or cats with kittens at dumpsters and behind restaurants. While that still happens, I beleive this program has made a difference.
