This so called rescue group is just scamming people into giving donations. The shelter they run in Long Beach Ny is owned by the City of Long Beach & Rescue Ink is under contract to run it only. After Hurricane Sandy they were asking for donations to rebuild the shelter when it is the responsiblity of the City to do this. In the summer they had a new roof put on and were again asking for donations to pay for the roof when the City of Long Beach paid for it. They do no rescues & just go to different venues selling their T-shirts & asking for donations. These are a lot of cash transactions. Where is all this money going? They have had maybe 12 animals in the shelter at one time & again the City of Long Beach pays all vet bills, utilities, everything but food which a lot of has been donated by Petco. Again where are all these donations going?? They should have a full audit where they have to account for every penny they bring in & spend.
