Mission: To promote a sustainable development of safe and stable families through relationship skills, training, marriage and education programs.
Programs: Flourishing families program. The relationship skills center provides relationship education to low income pregnant unwed couples or couples with an infant through the flourishing families program (ffp) supported by a federally sponsored health marriage demonstration grant. The program is offered in five strategically placed family resource centers around the greater sacramento area.
the relationship education action (react) is a collaboration between rotary clubs in rotary district 5180, the relationship skills center, and local schools and youth organizations. This program is aimed at reducing youth violence and increasing communication skills with research tested curricula in the effort to foster healthy relationships with future romantic partners, friends, employers and colleagues. The goals of the program are to reduce youth violence, provide evidence based and tested relationship educations to schools and community based organizations, inprove the health and quality of the life of young people.
community classes promote relashionship skills training and marriage education programs in the great sacramento area. Relationship skills center began efforts to raise community awareness about the importance of marriage education and relationship skills training to decrease the divorce rate and increase healthy, stable families. Relationship skills center continues to recruit and train program facilitators in faith based and community based organizations to lead research supported skill-centered programs that span a lifetime and encourage thriving relationships.
