Review from Guidestar

I was personally and financially traumatized by the treatment at this facility. I saw many of the tenants( guests) mistreated as well. The owner displayed tactics of intimidation by threatening and kicking "guests" of the Sober House out on short notice for any and every reason. There were many guests, myself included who were thrown out without having used drugs or alcohol. The owner himself was actively using drugs and alcohol and denying it while I was living there. He was verbally and emotionally ABUSIVE. The timing of the expulsions seemed to suspiciously come right after the owner collected rent. The general feeling of the guests was that the operation was/is a scam to take advantage of recovering addicts and alcoholics and their loved ones. The general opinion is that this non profit is driven by greed and addiction. While I was a guest there I saw huge turnover of guests. This non-profit seems to make huge profit. This is truly a sad sad situation when so many young and old are looking for a safe haven to find recovery in their addictions.
