This organization has been created after living the most horrific nightmare for seven years. Our brother, who recently passed away from leukemia at the age of 24 was consistently treated at two different NYC hospitals. My parents, who were valiantly by his bedside, including two long stays of 40 days or more during his bone marrow transplant, had to consistently worry about where to park and how much it would cost. The average lot in NYC would cost about $35 a day, which ultimately cost my parent thousands of dollars over the course of his treatment. While spending time in these hospitals, this was a valid concern for all parents and it became clear that something had to be created to help these families. When my brother passed, we created the Red Dog Foundation! In just four short months, we were able to collect over $14,000 and continue to establish great supporters along the way. If I had to make changes to this organization, I would continue to have more people support our foundation in various ways. Donation of time, or helping to spread our mission is just as important as donating money. More people need to get involved to make this a special foundation.

Will you volunteer or donate to this organization beyond what is required of board members?
