Raychem/Tyco Electronics has been supporting this orgainzation for over 20 years. It has always been a very rewarding eperience for our employee volunterrs to particpate on National Rebuilding Day. The leadership and staff have always been "top notch". It is an honor and a privilege to be a Board Member!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The smiles of the beneficiaries of the serices provided!!

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Quality of the staff and of the Board Members

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Outstanding!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

This chapter has to be in the top 5 in the country, With more funds and resources the benefits could be spread

Should this review be counted for a specific campaign?

I have worked with Rebuilding Together for National Rebuilding Day for the last 3 years. I have done work rebuilding and repainting local community centers, such as the Girls Club. The work is always challenging, but the staff is positive, and everyone works very efficiently. The moment that sums it up for me came last year, when we were repainting a living facility for seniors. One of the men who lived there came out on his balcony while we were painting it. He talked to us, showed us photos he had taken, and told us how much he appreciated our work. The best part about Rebuilding Together is seeing the change you can make in just one day.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The faces of the people I have helped.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make sure that everyone on the work site knows exactly what they should be doing.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Being able to see the difference you can make in only 6 to 8 hours of hard work.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Always dedicated, positive, and enthusiastic, even if they aren't the most skilled painters or builders.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help a heck of a lot of people. This organization works very efficiently on work sites and definitely gets the most out of what it has.

Ways to make it better...

I had had a little more instruction about exactly what task I was supposed to be doing.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Getting more volunteers and keeping the volunteers they get.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This is a great way to fulfill any service hour requirement you have for school.

This organization allows people to really get their hands on a project that makes a difference in the lives of people in the community, with little or no skill and plenty of oversight and fun. On National Rebuilding Day, the last Saturday in April (or for a team building event year round) your organization can make the home of a neighbor in need warmer and safer and give them greater independence and comfort. It is amazing what 40 pairs of hands can do in one day at one home (and what can be done in one day at 75 sites around the area). This truly is about revitalization, recycling and reuse - not new construction. It's amazing. You should try it.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the community every year and on the face of every homeowner.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how well-organized and prepared they are and how much support they provide and the improvements they make year over year

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

amazing and enthusiastic. The youth volunteers are especially fun.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

give an entire needy neighborhood a facelift and a better sense of safety and community.
