Mission: to empower adults with the literacy and language skills they need to participate fully and effectively in work, civic life, and community

Results: Our work is life changing. Last programming year our clients met these goals: U.S. citizenship; enroll in community college or university; survival literacy and English skills; open a bank account; get a job or get a better job; obtain a driver's license; read to children; fill out a loan application; read a book for the first time.

Programs: Free tutoring to adults in core areas: reading and writing, English as a Second Language, math, computer skills. Special programming: ESL instruction for immigrant parents of school children -- ESL classes at work -- Mothers & Children Reading Together, bilingual Pilot Project
