Reading with children gives them the chance to see that reading is not a chore but a pleasure, not just for children but adults as well. It shows them that if you can read, you can learn about anything, and be anyone you want to be. Reading is a skill not for the moment, or just to get through required schooling, but for their entire lifetime.
