Randy Moore, War Wizard Monster Truck, visited my son's school and spoke to about 800 8th graders. He explained to them that you don't have to do drug's to lead a fun and exciting lifestyle! He brought his monster truck, let the kids climb all over it, started it up and really got their attention. His message was so powerful that the kids still talk about it and last week during the 8th grade award assembly the school bragged about Randy's visit and reminded the 8th graders of his message! As a single parent of a middle school and elementary school boys, the last thing I say to them when I drop them off at school in the morning is that I love them and to make good choices. I find it to be a tremendous help to know that my message is being reiterated in my absence.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

In that this is the first time my 8th grade son has come home and talked to me about learning about the dangers of drugs

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make it a household name!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their ability to reach kids in a venue that is exciting for them and makes them remember what they were saying and why they were saying it...because they truly care!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

truly caring and selfless

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Provide its network of volunteers with incentive items to distribute to the kids across the country that would serve as reminders of the their pledge to live a drug free, healthy lifestyle!

Ways to make it better...

More people knew about it!

I became aware of this program when my nephew showed me a handout he received. I then did some more research on the program and learned about it's rich history and the role it plays in helping keep kids off of drugs. I think it is a wonderful program and deserves what ever support it need to continue with the Race Against Drugs Mission Statement.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Just the fact that a 13 year old shared this information with me, tells me that it caught his attention and I believe that is very difficult to do, especially with a positive message, in the new digital age.

Really increase it's awareness and spread it's positive message to kids everywhere.

Race Against Drugs provides children, nationwide the opportunity to live a drug free life. I am proud to have served the community by distributing materials in hopes that at least one child will make the life altering decision to remain drug free. During the time spent at this event, I heard many individuals share their past experiences and I am thankful for organizations like Race Against Drugs that provide an outlet by which such a strong message can be distributed to those in need.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

ways far exceeding my expectations. I have seen the differences it has made in not only children's lives, but also the spokespersons who represent the organization.

The RAD Racing Team is a program of NCPRS (http://www.ncprs.org) I have had the honor of volunteering at many RAD events across the country for 15 years. RAD is a unique program that works with motorsports enthusiasts to connect with young people and leave a positive impression through the association of behaving as a responsible team member, drug free. RAD has been fueling a drug free future for 20 years. I am happy to be a part of it and I have seen firsthand the difference it has made in the lives of children!

The Great!

The way in which I raise my daughter is a prime example of how I have used my experience working with the RAD Team. Together with my husband, we instill the same principals and beliefs that RAD used in its mission statement to engage her. We behave as a team at home, accomplishing even the smallest tasks with the notion that if there is a weak link (someone who is not in a healthy frame of mind) the whole team is at risk for failure. Drugs are not an option. We also teach her peer pressure resistance and refusal skills that go along everyday life experiences. This program is not just about using a motorsports theme; it is about living life clean and being a part of a team effort that has the power to impact her future and the people she surrounds herself with!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Keep going strong!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Change the face of community prevention efforts across the country!

Ways to make it better...

There were more spokespersons in more parts of the country.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

One thing I'd also say is that...
