The R.A.C.E. Fund is a first-class organization that not only finds adequate retirment homes for racehorses, but also follows up on them for years after the initial sale to ensure they have not slipped through the cracks. There is no better rescue organization than RACE Fund and they should be commended for the fantastic work they do.

The R.A.C.E fund was instrumental in assisting me in getting my former racehorse rescued from the track and arranging to have the owner/trainer give him to me to retire permently. Marlene Murray of the R.A.C.E. Fund worked for about a year, tracking him, updating me on whereabouts and contacting trainers on my behalf. I had never met Marlene and have not met her to this day, but she went well beyond the call of duty to help rescue this horse. I am forever grateful for all she and the R.A.C.E. did for me and my horse. The R.A.C.E. Fund is also responsible for saving many Thoroughbreds from slaughter or abuse by finding permanent homes for them at other Thoroughbred rescues. They follow up on their horses as though they were their own pets. I cannot say enough about Marlene and this organization.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Not change a thing. I wish I could provide them with better funding.
