Mission: QuestBridge provides a single, internet-based meeting point which links exceptional students with the colleges, scholarship providers, employers, and organizations seeking students who have excelled despite obstacles. By facilitating these exchanges, QuestBridge aims to increase the percentage of talented, low-income students attending the nation’s best universities and to ultimately impact the face of leadership in America. QuestBridge takes a three-prong approach beginning with high school recruitment in the sophomore year and extending through college graduation. Project Approach – • QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship orients bright high school juniors and their parents to the college application and financial aid processes.  Parents often discourage their children from applying to top private schools because they fear the cost of private school.  Private schools, though, are often more affordable than state schools because of generous financial aid.  • QuestBridge College Match uses a single, free online application process to match students with top colleges nationwide that offer full or nearly full four year scholarship to our applicants.  QuestBridge operates on a scale unavailable to any single high school guidance counselor or any single college to match the best students in the nation with the best schools in the nation. • The Quest Scholars Network facilitates campus events, leadership retreats, internships, and research fellowships to equip students for success during and after college.
Results: Quest began in 1994 as a five-week intensive summer enrichment program on the Stanford campus.  The program provided high-potential, underserved high school students with personal direction, and skills to construct and achieve their dreams.  After ten years the program had become national in scope and placed over 285 students into top colleges (the majority in Stanford or Harvard), while maintaining a 99% college graduation rate.  In 2003 Quest’s became QuestBridge: a unique intermediary between the nation’s brightest, under-served youth and leading institutions of higher education.  Since then QuestBridge has demonstrated proof of concept through continuous, significant expasion.  QuestBridge is funded through foundations, private individuals, and our partner colleges.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We have partnered with over 25 of the top, private colleges and universities to provide over 1000 bright, low-income youth with full or nearly full 4-year scholarships each year.

The Quest Scholars Program really helped me get a head start on my college applications and helped me along the way to improve my applications and fill in the blanks that I had trouble with. Thanks the Quest Scholars Program, I am in much better standing to become a QuestBridge National College Match Recipient than I would be otherwise. I'm very thankful for all the help Quest Scholars has given me.

Thanks to QuestBridge, my son is a student at Yale. QuestBridge provided him with the information and impetus (and fee waivers) that enabled him to apply to top colleges. Clearly, it has changed his life.

Through a QuestBridge College Match I am now able to go to my dream school on a full ride scholarship. The staff was always helpful and courteous and they truly gave me hope that I would be able to attend college. QuestBridge changed my life and is the best thing that ever happened to me.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

receiving a full scholarship to a top-ranked university.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how helpful and kind the staff was. They always patiently and promptly answered any questions I had.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

AMAZING!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the world.

The Quest Scholars Program connected me to Stanford University and I received a full 4 year scholarship through this program. When I first heard about the program it seemed to good to be true, but after talking to my high school counselor I was reassured that this program was not a scam and worth pursuing. The Quest Team was helpful during the application process and answered all my questions via phone and email. The program has been a blessing to me and my family.
