i have always enjoyed performing at the puppetry atrs center. they have helped me expand and grow as an entertainer. the people involved are great, and have done sooo much for the community. i would like to see them continue !

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

have its own theatre with professional lights and sound. to help spread the knowelege that they have about entertaining with puppets.

I have performed at the Puppetry Arts Center of the Palm Beaches at each of its all too many locations. I've averaged three different visits a year with a variety of shows that incorporated hand, hand & rod,and shadow puppets as well as marionettes. In the earlier years, we were able to present a full week of performances ending with 2 performances on Saturday. Through the years, the various moves made it difficult to maintain the audience levels, Each relocation required a great deal of work to transform the newest site into a viable theatre space. Each move also required considerable monetary outlays - several moves required costs for construction and relocating plumbing for public restrooms, etc. Jan and Bill Timmis have consistantly strived to provide a home for economically priced family entertainment that also sought to teach basic human values through the variety of performances they presented at the Puppetry Arts Center. Their dedication to the Center is all-encompassing.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

as I've seen repeat children's audience members react to their being welcomed to the theatre by Sunshine and Miss Jan and seeing that the children have learned how to be a member of an audience and enjoy a live performance.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

try to locate board members that would work to fulfill the Centers ultimate goals.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

seeing the faces of young children - particularly from the inner city and lower-income groups - as they experienced live theatre for the first time.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

always intent on providing a unique theatre experience for the audience.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

fulfill their dreams of an all-encompassing theatre facility that would enable them to have performances, workshops, a museum space and sufficient storage and rehearsal/construction space under one roof.

Ways to make it better...

the Puppetry Arts Center would have the opportunity to have a permanent facility of their own that included the various spaces that would allow performances, a museum, workshops and storage.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

establishing mor community awareness of their mission and their plight.

One thing I'd also say is that...
