The Prostate Cancer Survivor Project changed it's name to the Prostate Cancer Awareness Project (PCAP) in 2009. PCAP plays a critical role in raising awareness of the need for annual prostate cancer testing. In 2012, PCAP released the first prostate cancer early warning tool for men and their families. ProstateTracker is available on the Internet at http://ProstateTracker.org, free to everyone. Also in 2012, PCAP organized the first trans-America Prostate Cancer Pony Express motorcycle relay ride for prostate cancer awareness. Riders traveled more than 25,000 miles, reaching all 50 states, and ending at the Capitol Building in Washington, DC on September 9, 2012. Along the way, they gained 10 new state proclamations naming September as annual prostate cancer awareness month.
