We prostate cancer survivors are so fortunate to have an expert sitemaster who really understands medical research, knows prostate cancer, and is an outstanding communicator. The objective, insightful reviews of research are of great help in separating the wheat from the chaff, as are follow-up discussions through comments. "The 'New' Prostate Cancer Infolink" is a resource beyond price.

I was diagnosed with PCa back in May 2010. Having been under pressure and wanting to learn from others who have gone through this experience I resorted to Prostate Cancer International. I have provided my PSA tests results, Gleason score, CT scans, etc.. and sought advice on how to proceed with treatment. Prostate Cancer International was great as many of its members responded with advice on how to proceed, what to watch for and what to say and ask the medical specialists who were sought by me for consultation. All this helped make my journey quite a learned and comfortable one, given the circumstances. After more than a year with PCa and initial radiation treatment, I continue to link up with Prostate Cancer International and its wonderful and helpful volunteers.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
examine the possibility of making it multilingual so as individuals worldwide can link up and seek advice in their own languages.
This is an incredibly valuable website for the latest information about all aspects of prostate cancer-from controversies about screening or active surveillance, to the lastest information about surgical and radiation treatment, side effects of those treatments and also treatment of recurrent or distant disease. There is expert review of recent research, put into easily understood words for non medical personel. "Sitemaster" does and excellent job responding to comments as well. As both a physician (general surgeon) and prostate cancer patient myself, I am very grateful that it exists and have found little else online that compares as favorably.

nothing, except to be able to adjust the number of emails I receive, according to my own particular interest (it covers a vast area of medical information).
Prostatecancerinfolink.net is at the top of my favourites page.
It is the best site that I have found for constantly updating itself with relevant well explained articles on developments in the prostate cancer field.
The collation of information by this site is excellent. It saves me trawling through the half dozen other sources I used to look at and piecing together my own news feed.
I always find the latest developments in the PCa field at this site.
Highly recommended!

No changes thanks. I like it just as it is.
The "New" Prostate Cancer Infolink and its Social Network have been incredibly valuable to me. The Infolink brought information that I simply could not access anywhere else. The people running this site have the rare ( I think) ability to explain medical information to lay persons like me.
The Social Network complements the Infolink perfectly. I have received fast and useful responses to questions I have raised, both from professionals and persons like myself who have already walked the road.
I tell everyone I know about this site.

I can't think of anything that needs improvement, except perhaps to have the site publicized by every health organization that deals with prostate cancer.
I found great help encouragement and support when i found I had prostate cancer. I was given accurate information that was not available from my physician and an unbiased list of treatment options. Later I was given free medical information that eventually enabled me to decide on the treatment I had with good results.
This site save me a lot of stress and fear at a difficult time.
The contributors are very generous sharing their medical knowledge and experience free of charge for the benefit of those having a difficult time.

Prostate Cancer International has a website entitled, "The 'New' Prostate Cancer Infolink." Every evening, seven days a week, the website posts between one and three articles about prostate cancer. The articles generally discuss, and link to, a professional medical article about a particular topic in the area of prostate cancer.
The discussions are extremely well written, extremely helpful, and extremely well though out. The discussions closely examine the article under consideration, often critiqueing the logic, scientific bases, and conclusions in the articles.
The website is the ONLY medically-oriented website on the Internet that I have virtually complete trust and faith in.

The New Prostate Cancer Infolink communicates the most current medical information on prostate cancer, including abstracts, conferences, research papers, FDA announcements, clinical trials, and general information. In addition, the "Sitemaster" provides excellent analysis of and insight into the information communicated. For example, when Provenge was approved by the FDA, Sitemaster discussed the relative cost of Provenge compared to the possible benefits, the available alternative treatments, the phase III clinical trial results, and the future of the treatment. I would not have fully understood the issues relating to Provenge if the Sitemaster had not posted the discussion. Sitemaster's discussion is unbiased and honest.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2007, radical prostatectomy in May 2007, with chemical recurrance in May 2009. The aprostate Cancer Intl. site has provided invaluable information on many aspects of this journey, and I read it on a daily basis. It has been a better source of useful information than resources that I have investigated and/or purchased. I have shared information with my treating Urologisrt/surgeon that he was unaware of. This site provides excellent information and support to those of us that have this disease.
