PROJECT SMILE is a nonprofit that serves the many towns and communities in the Massachusetts region at the grassroots level by providing a variety of services to bring a smile to a child who has been affected by a traumatic event. These efforts include supplying 120+ police/fire/EMS departments with stuffed animals in their cruisers to provide to children who have been involved in traumatic events. Games and coloring books to homeless shelters, and even providing similar services to elder centers.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I've read the testimonials by Police Officers and Fire Fighters on the good that Project Smile does. It is a simple concept, yet makes a big difference in the life of a child affected by trauma. This regularly includes domestic violence, loss of a home due to fire, an injured parent or relative or car accident.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

This organization needs to grow. It operates on a shoesting budget yet does SO MUCH for the community which is amazing. The founder and Executive Director takes very little out of the organization and wants to see it grow. She started it with $7000 in 2004 and now it is 10 times larger and serving more and more deserving clients.
