I received help from Project Share or some form of it 1986 until 2005. It has been built on the back of Elaine Livas and all her hard work over the years. The food we received was a far cry in quality and quantity from what they provide now. The breadth and depth of the community involvement with Project Share seems to grow every month. Now they have a permanant home that houses a clothing bank, storage facilities for cost saving and bulk buying, and community connections and support of all kinds. They truly provide Self Help And Recipient Education (SHARE). Now that I have been able to get myself into a more stable lifestyle, I am now a donor and occasional volunteer. Thank you Elaine and Project Share!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

receiving food and support from them. Helping me to support me while I learned to help myself better.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the kindness and caring of the people associated with Project Share.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

mostly the most kind and caring people you could meet. The kind of people that I know make up our wonderful community.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

with Elaine's help, feed the world!!

Consistently serving and supporting our community. I've volunteered for SHARE, but I'm also a community member who hears the great work of this organization. Once I met a woman on the street who said she had no formula for her baby. I got on my cell phone and called SHARE. She received what she needed for her child before the end of the day. SHARE is more than a food pantry, it is a part of our community that has literally brought people together from all walks of life to express care and support each other. Excellent non-profit.

Project Share is a faith based organization whose only focus is to feed and clothe those in need. Workers and volunteers wear tennis shoes and show up prepared to work and help their neighbors. Whether you give them four days a week or an hour of your time, you can find something you are able to do and the other volunteers, staff and recipients will appreciate your help.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the variety of people that come in and help.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

wonderful. Many were from local churches, some were boy scouts, some were from local companies volunteering for the day.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Buy its own facility that has an indoor waiting area, more storage, a break room for employees. In bad weather, recipients have to stand outside in the rain/cold, etc because there's no room inside.

Project Share meets a huge need in the Carlisle community providing food and clothing to approximately 1200 families a month. During my volunteer time I see the compassion for the recipients and witness recipients who are truly appreciative of the services this organization provides. Kudos and hats off to Project SHARE.

One thing I'd also say is that...
