Mission: Project Jason is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization, and was established on October 6, 2003. Our organization primarily focuses on case assessment, resources, and support for families of the missing. We are not an investigative agency, nor do we perform searches. We offer services we are trained to provide. Kelly Jolkowski, Mother of Missing Jason Jolkowski, handles all interactions with family members, and has over 100 hours of professional training in various aspects of missing persons, including emotional support, DNA, support tools, databases and related matters, case management, media interaction, and more. Project Jason has distributed more than 15,500 personal ID kits, including a Spanish translation. Project Jason has faciliated the distribution of more than 50,000 posters nationwide through their various poster campaigns. Project Jason has given out more than 4,750 missing person photo buttons through their Adopt a Missing Person program. Project Jason has mentored several volunteers to action and passed legislation in 6 states that positively effect missing persons cases. Project Jason has served over 400 families since their inception in 2003. Project Jason, in partnership with Target Media, places information about 4 missing persons each month in national trucking magazines which have circulations of 150,000 each. Project Jason has had a direct impact in the location of numerous missing persons, including a teen missing for 2 years, a sister missing for 7, two sisters missing for 2 years, and a son missing for 14. Project Jason is the first and only assistance organization to offer free, professional counseling online with one of the nation's leading counselors. Project Jason was the first nonprofit of its type to open an office in the popular virtual world, Second Life, bringing the cause of the missing to a new audience, telling the stories of the missing in an intimate and intriguing style. Project Jason is the only nonprofit which offers an annual retreat for family members of both missing children and adults, teaching these families how to cope with this unique loss.

Project Jason has been a huge support to my family through such an UN imaginable experience. They're consultative, and knowledgeable about an unfortunate party of life. They helped me prioritize and start my search as well as provided resources along the way.

Project Jason reached out to my family when my sister, Yolanda Bindics went missing in August 2004. Ms. Kelly Murphy brought awareness to my sister's case and did it graciously without any expectations of anything in return from my family. She comforted and supported my family during the disappearance and location of my sister. She wrote a beautiful story in her blog describing mine and Yolanda's relationship and requested that the public contact the Delilah show and request "Somewhere Out There" to be played on the radio in honor of Yolanda's birthday. Many responded to her request and the song was played.

Our son Jesse disappeared in Chicago in Nov. 2006. We were lost and had no one to talk to about our situation; police were polite but not very understanding. We found Kelly and Project Jason online. She helped us get grounded and to deal with our loss. She had knowledge, and offered personal support as only the parent of a missing child can.

It would be difficult to say how much project jason has meant to us. The personal friendships, the awareness events. Counseling and support through the project jason retreat. When our Jesse disappeared the first real ray of hope for us came when we stumbled upon Project Jason on the internet. We were connected to other famillies with missing, given assistance in our quest to locate Jesse, and introduced to so many resources that every family with a missing needs. We had no idea just what we should be doing until Project Jason came to our rescue.

When our son Jesse went missing, we had to reach out from Belton MO to Chicago IL. The police were business like, but not really a lot of help for our family at this critical time. We discovered Kelly and Project Jason on the web. She told us all the things the police didn't, what agencies were out there, the things that we could be doing on our own. She offered personal advise and thru her own personal experience she helped us understand ourselves and what was happening to us. Project Jason helped us get Jesse's story out to the nation. She also helped us deal with those who would take unfair advantage of people like us(so called psychics, etc.) Probably one of the most dear things she did for us was to be a friend.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

dealing with a terrible situation, having a missing child. There is nothing like having someone who understands what you are going through and helps you do the things you need to do.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Being part of a family,a support network when you don't know where else to turn

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Professional, yet personal and understanding.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help thousands of families desperate to get word to the world about their missing loved ones. Host retreats such as we attended to bring victims together and unite them in love and courage.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

I'm a mother of a missing son for 23 years Robert Pillsen-Rahier. Jason Project has been the most supportive to me and our family. We just attended a retreat"Keys to Healing" that gave us information that is helping us to heal, stay and stand strong and gave us a renewed hope. It was wonderful to be around other families of missing who "get it". Kelly is so knowledgeable and has so much information that helps us all in our search. The organization makes and shares our posters of our missing telling the story on each one so other will know the circumstances. I thank God so much for Kelly and her team!

I am the sister of a missing person and I was very fortunate to have found Project Jason many years ago. Kelly Jolkowski and this Great organization, have helped me and so many others who struggle with the day by day challenges of being the family member of a missing and/or murdered loved one.

I am truly grateful for all the caring support and assistance I have received from this organization and I am thankful that they are on my side. Project Jason brings light to a darkened world and hope for the hurting. Thank you to Kelly and Project Jason for all you do and for keeping up the Good Fight!!!

Project Jason has helped my family cope with my sister Laurie Partridge abduction by promoting her story and helping us keep her story alive in the hope that we will get answers someday! We are so very Grateful for their efforts and support! Project Jason helps many families daily who are dealing with abducted, missing and murdered family members and there are not enough words to express the important contributions this organization gives especially at a time when people are in shock and have difficulty knowing how to go about daily life when such a tragedy happens! Thank you Project Jason

I could spend allllllll day talking about how much I love Kelly and her group of volunteers. This woman is smart, loving, devoted and all while working full time and searching for her own missing son. The services offered are amazing. When you first start out in the world of missing persons, its really hard. But you are focused on the physicalities. Not the emotional impact. Project Jason not only works to increase awareness to prevent missing persons, but they take care of your heart while it's all going down. Absolutely invaluable organization and like I said, I could go on all day. Amazing!

When I thought I was out there experiencing having a loved one missing on my own, experiencing having an adult loved one missing and all that entails, battling, being let down, not understanding, trying to figure it all out as if it was me against the world at that point Project Jason entered my life. Project Jason entered my life with support and sound resources and advice and friendship. Now as I advocate for other families of the missing I refer all families to Project Jason. There is no better organization out there.

Project Jason assisted me when my husband was missing for 4 years and they have supported me even after I received my answer. For an adult that is missing their families have few places to turn to for professional support so I felt very blessed to find Project Jason. I have attended all of their Keys to Healing Retreat that they put on every summer. It is an amazing experience filled with sound advice and tools to help the families cope. I now advocate for the families of the missing and I always steer them to Project Jason...it is one of very few missing person organizations that I recommend to any of the families. ~ Maureen Reintjes, NamUs Advocate - Kansas

My father went missing in 2009. ProjectJason has offered their services to me on several different levels. These services have helped me make it from day to day. Not only do they help bring my dads case awareness, but they have also helped me personally. They are always there to listen and support you through this tough process. If there's an area they are not able to provide help in they always have the right resources to get you what you need. All of this is done free of charge. Kelly is truly my hero at this stage in my life. What she has done for me and others in my position is truly remarkable!

Kelly at projectjason helped me change my outlook on life. When you have a loved one missing, you loose faith and trust in the world. ProjectJason helped me to see there is still good in the world.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Project Jason and Kelly tried to help me when my local police offered no assistance when I tried to find my mentally ill adult brother. She has also offered guidance in my attempts to get Missing Persons Legislation passed in the state of Pennsylvania. Project Jason will listen when no one else will. They provide an invaluable service to the families of the missing.
