Wolf Haven International
Description: Wolf Haven is an internationally recognized sanctuary that has rescued and provided a lifetime home for 160 captive-born wolves over the last three decades. Wolf Haven offers guided walking tours and works diligently for wolf conservation through educational programs on the value of all wildlife, public outreach and practical activism. At any given time, over 50 of the fascinating, often misunderstood wolves are in residence.
Located on 80 acres of rare Mima Mound prairie and woodlands, narrated 50-minute tours are available year-round (closed during the month of February and every Tuesday). Open 10:00 – 3:00 on Saturday and 12:00 – 3:00 on Sunday from October to March. We also are proud participants in two Species Survival Plan (SSP) programs, dedicated to the continued survival of the endangered Mexican gray wolf and red wolf.
Wolf Have International conducts wildlife handling classes annually. Wolf Haven also works closely with federal and state agencies and supports wolf recovery efforts throughout the United States, including Washington.

WHI is one of only three pre-release facilities for the Mexican gray wolf in the entire U.S.
We're hosting the annual Mexican gray Species Survival Plan conference at Wolf Haven Intl. in 2012.
Five litters of Mexican gray pups have been born here.
Some of the first Mexican wolves released back into the wild (after a 70 year absence) were born at Wolf Haven Intl.
We transferred six of our Mexican gray wolves to Mexico to support that country's SSP program.
