Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: provide childcare, assist in sorting and selling donated items at one of our retail stores, offer administrative assistance, participate in planning and promoting special events, provide career assistance
Mission:
The mission of WINGS is to provide a continuum of integrated services to end homelessness and domestic violence one family at a time.
Results:
In Fiscal Year 2009, the Safe House provided 8,000 nights of shelter to 184 women and children.
Our Transitional Housing program served 176 women and children with 35,000 nights of shelter.
These women also received services from counseling, career services, family services, and life skills training to help them achieve self-sufficiency and a brighter future.

More than seventeen years ago I found WINGS at a time in my life of dire need, when I had no one or no where else to go for support--financial, emotional, spiritual, and social support. WINGS had faith in me and the future for my daughter and I even when I didn't. I was able to pursue my education...

I have been involved with WINGS for about 20 years- with longevity comes in depth knowledge of the organization. I have followed some of the clients when they 1st came to WINGS homeless and scared to the time they graduate WINGS and some I have been lucky enough to see return to volunteer and serve ...
