Description: For nearly 80 years, Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis has helped thousands of children with disabilities say “I can” by providing them with vital medical equipment, as well as educational, therapeutic and recreational programs such as the annual Adventure Camp and Variety Children’s Theatre. An international leader in fundraising, Variety the Children’s Charity also distributes grants to more than 80 qualified partner agencies throughout the St. Louis area to provide programs and/or services that directly impact the lives of children with physical and mental disabilities. David Steward, chairman and founder of World Wide Technology, Inc., is the organization’s president. Target demographics: Children under the age of 21 who have physical or mental disabilities in the St. Louis metro area with a household income under $65,000 (or otherwise exhibits extenuating circumstances such as multiple children or exorbitant medical bills).

Direct beneficiaries per year: Each year, Variety serves more than 14,500 children with physical and/or mental disabilities throughout the St. Louis area.

Geographic areas served: Metro St. Louis, Missouri (spanning 547 zip codes across 30 counties)

With out Variety Club I am not sure that we would beable to take care of our special needs daughter. They have helped us MANY times when the ins. Company could/would not pay for the equipment. I wish I could give Variety 10 stars! What a fabulous organization. Our son has spina bifida and has attended camp for the past two years (FREE OF CHARGE).
