Mission:

The Foundation was Incorporated as a non-profit in 2001 and received its 501(c)(3) in October of 2001 and non-profit status. Operating with a volunteer board of Directors all funds go to the acquiring of this historic ship. This endeavor would create a huge convention center, educational facility, museum, and navy memorial, floating at a pier at Chinook Park,Fairview, OR; There are carrier museums on both coast but none in Oregon State; Ranger served as home for over 65,000 Sailors in her 37 years of service to our country. She served with pride and honor during the war years of Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm as well as the cold war. .Visit our web site for more details or call for a power point presentation.

Results:

Located a location to berth the Ship, completed Phase I and Phase II of the NAVSEA application, awaiting approval to move into Phase III. Phase IV and we receive the keys and begin Museum Preparation!

I was a board member for many years and I am still telling others, especially carrier Sailors, about the project. The people working to save the ship and bring the museum to fruition are talented and dedicated and hard working. This will be a tremendous asset to Portland and Oregon... more »

Great bunch of people on the BOD who bust their buns trying to save this great ship. We need money and that is an important thing! It will be a memorial to all who served in the armed forces. Vets should flock to this memorial/museum when open... more »
