Mission:
Hidden Villa is dedicated to promoting a just and sustainable future through its programs, land and legacy.  Acquired in 1924 by Frank and Josephine Duveneck, Hidden Villa was from its early days a place of environmental discovery, multicultural children’s camps, and social and community activism.  In 1985, upon Frank’s death, the property was given to the people of this region as the Trust for Hidden Villa.  Today, Hidden Villa offers hands-on, innovative learning experiences to children and adults, and a wide range of programs designed to increase environmental awareness and multicultural understanding.  Every year, Hidden Villa serves approximately 50,000 people, most of them from the San Francisco Bay Area. It features a working organic farm, a visitor’s hostel, and a full calendar of environmental and community events.  A centerpiece of Hidden Villa’s offerings is its Environmental Education Program, which reaches approximately 20,000 Bay Area schoolchildren and teachers each year and its summer camp which has a 60+ year history of bringing children from different backgrounds together.

The activities such as goat walks, hikes, milking cows. The people you met-counselors were always ... more »
