Susan G. Komen for the Cure celebrated its 25th anniversary with a new name, a new logo and a significant accomplishment: $1 billion invested since our inception in the global fight against breast cancer. And we have pledged to invest another $2 billion in the next decade in scientific research and community outreach programs. It will take investments of that level if we are to bring about a dramatic, unprecedented decline in breast cancer deaths over the next 10 to 15 years.

With all of the money this foundation raises each year, we should be well on the way to finding a cure for breast cancer. We aren't! Does the public realize their only goal with science is to "energize them"? Do they realize that the founder and CEO makes $417000 a year? If you look at their ...

It is amazing how many people are upset that the Komen foundation gave money to Planned Parenthood. Does it not matter that planned parenthood administers a large percentage of mammograms to people that can not afford to go anywhere else?
