Target demographics: Orphaned,abandoned children and children whose whose parents are HIV/AIDS infected and Disabled ( aged between 6 and 16)

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Teach Soft Skill to Home (Orphanage) children

Geographic areas served: Trichy,Namakkal and Karur Districts of Tamil Nadu ,India

Mission:

Making access to Food,Shelter,Education and Health care a reality for children living in rural and slum parts of Central Tamil Nadu,India

Results:

We have set up Management systems in place for all the 3 programmes we have been running since 1995.We are trying to raise more funds so that more children are included in the project

My wife and I volunteered with SPPD for two months in July and August 2011. My wife taught English and I gave computer literacy lessons. It was great! The children here are very friendly.
