Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Visit a local senior in a nursing home, read to them, bring homemade goodies or just sit and talk...or listen.
Mission:
Our Motto is...Helping the lives of seniors through acts of kindness.Having senior parents on a fixed income and seeing first hand the struggles that they and their peers were having trying to make ends meet, we soon realized the sad fact that the assistance for seniors was very hard to come by so we decided to take action and started Smiles for Seniors Foundation.Our mission is to alleviate some of the pressure and fear that many seniors have of financially not having enough to survive or having to choose between medication and rent.This does not have to happen, that is where we come in, Smiles for Seniors Foundation will put a smile on the faces of those who need it most, our seniors.
Results:
We are proud to say that since our inception in the summer of 2007 we have been able to assist over 300 low income seniors with over $85,000 in funding
