Target demographics: Shirley Ann Sullivan Educational Foundations is embarking on its 10th year of operations.

With partners from all over the world we have paid for kids to go to school, mentored youth into jobs and co-founded national youth serving organizations in Angola, Brazil and Liberia.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 500

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Work in our library, tutor children with homework, pick up and deliver donated materials. Help facilitate our youth employment workshops.

Geographic areas served: Angola, Brazil, Germany, Liberia and United States of America

Mission:
Our mission is to provide education to children and youth throughout the world. Through continued research of educational programs we identify and implement solutions impacting the development of children and youth. We collaborate with youth serving organizations that support our vision in developing self-sustaining people improving the quality of life for future generations.
Results:
Our youth serving organizations are founded on the belief that community service provides a young person with valuable on the job skills training.

SASEF did a really great program for TMMAF this year for kids who survived the war. In a village called Kakata in Liberia they had the kids draw the challenges they faced in day to day life. Because of all the violence in Liberia this workshop was a way to help these kids deal with this issue... more »

It is my great privilege to know Rhonda Staudt and to have seen, first hand, the heartwarming results of SASEF. The work they do is a lifeline to the children they help, help that wouldn't have found them any other way, due to their socioeconomic and geographic challenges. The drive and ... more »

The Foundation has been instumental in making positive life changes. The benfits the youth gain are necessary in becoming productive adults and being role models for other youth to follow.
