Share Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancer, Inc.
Mission:
We’ve been there and we’re here to help you.
SHARE offers women facing breast cancer, ovarian cancer and metastatic breast cancer emotional support and practical advice from trained survivors who have been through it themselves. All services are entirely FREE. We have a national toll-free hotline, support groups throughout New York City, and a website with information and candid blogs by survivors. We supply patient navigators at two hospitals serving low income populations and we advocate for health-related legal reform. In addition, we provide a variety of community education programs, ranging from a Spanish-language novela about breast cancer (which is being distributed in conjunction with community organizations) to the Pink and Teal corporate seminars program.
