Mission:
The Progressive Workshop of Armstrong County, Inc. is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt corporation. The Workshop provides personal and work adjustment training, job skill training, job placement, adult education and sheltered employment services to adults with physical and mental challenges.
The main purpose of the rehabilitation efforts is training in preparation for competitive employment. This training provides an additional benefit to our trainees in that they generate earnings through their training work.
The Workshop is an important step in meeting the rehabilitative needs of our clients with physical and mental disabilities. The training received at The Workshop prevents needless and expensive institutionalization and enables individuals to become productive, self-reliant citizens.
