Target demographics: Pets and People in north Kitsap County Washington

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Socialize with cats at the Adoption Center, Bag pet food and distribute to food banks, Distribute flyers and packets of information about adoptable cats, work at one of our many events.

Geographic areas served: Animal Welfare

Mission:
PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap advocates, educates, and provides direct services to nurture the bond of companionship between pets and their people, for the health and well-being of both.
Results:
9 tons of pet food delivered to Food Banks, 350+ Cats and kittens adopted every year, 25 teams of dogs and handlers providing outreach in the Buddy Brigade, hundreds of low income families receive emergency vet care grants, Pet Remembrance Gatherings help those struggling with the loss of a pet, 250+ pets spay/neutered every year.

I went in on Christmas Eve looking to adopt a kitten and was so blown away by their level of customer service as well as the ammount of care given to the kittens.
