PHYSICIANS FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY INC
Mission:
Physicians for Social Responsibility is committed to the elimination of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, the achievement of a sustainable environment and the reduction of violence and its causes. PSR combines the credibility of physicians and other health professionals with an active and concerned citizenry and engages the public in ipmortant policy debates linking abstract national polices to important health concerns of the average citizen. PSR accomplishes its mission through a dedicated Board of Directors, expert staff, nearly forty chapters around the country, medical student leaders on over sixty campuses, and more than 50,000 members and e-activists.

Wanted to become engaged with this organization locally. looking at their website it looked like they had 30 chapters and young doctors at 50 schools. However, none of my outreach to become involved was answered. PSR has great info but much of the network seems to be dated. One person wrote back to ...

got info on toxin exposures in our daily lives;
