Mission
Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence began in 1971 in one woman’s garage as a safe house to shelter women suffering abuse. This safe house was the second shelter providing domestic violence services to women and children in the state of California and the very first bilingual English-Spanish shelter in the United States. Since that time, Next Door has helped tens of thousands of people rebuild their lives towards its mission to end domestic violence in the moment and for all time.

What your donation will allow us to do:
Your donation will help victims of domestic violence and their children leave violent and abusive situations and help them rebuild their lives so that they may find safe, affordable housing, employment, and social and community services that help them and their children avoid risky habits that enable violence to continue.
Your donation of 35 dollars enables us to:
Provide one week of supportive services to a child or teen impacted by domestic violence. These services include support groups for teens that help them avoid gang violence, dating violence, and other risky habits. Services also include developmental and recreational activities for children who in turn develop their self esteem and emotional resiliency, thereby stopping violence before it starts.
Your donation of 90 dollars enables us to:
Provide 24 hours of safety, shelter, food, clothing, and other supportive services for one individual at our Emergency Shelter, so that they may escape violence sometimes suddenly, and take the necessary steps to leave violence behind forever.
