Mission:
The MLLES (Mademoiselles) Alumnae, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed in 2004 by Mlle. Shannan E. Johnson and Mlle. Brandii Mayes. The MLLES Alumnae, Inc. is comprised of young, professional women committed to mentoring and uplifting young ladies of color from the inner-city through cooperative projects and events that will help foster their development as model women in their communities and beyond. Major events include an annual conference and city-wide community service project.
Results:
We have held six annual conferences on education, health, social and life skills, reaching more than 200 young ladies each year; awarded seven scholarships to academic achievers; held 3 community service projects to benefit the city of Houston; held 2 College Preparatory Workshops, helping more than 30 young ladies attend college.

The Mademoiselles Alumnae is great because they still find time to help high school young ladies to become more of a lady for the future and they are always giving back. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't know the proper ways to dress for a job and I wouldn't have a strong sisterbond that I do now ...
