Description: Provide youth with quality education that would otherwise have no way to attend school so that they have increased self-confidence, an improved ability to make informed decisions, and ensures marketable skills so they can be contributing members of society capable of assisting with the reconstruction and development of Pakistan.

Target demographics: Impoverished youth and their families in Pakistan

Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2010 we served over 400 youth in the US and Pakistan and worked with nearly 20 teachers.

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: initiate an awareness generating activity in their community

Mission:

To improve relations between the West and the Muslim world by working together to alleviate poverty and illiteracy via sustainable educational and economic development in Southwest Asia.

Results:

We have opened two schools, been donated land to open a third and are in the process of launching a vocational education program to accompany our primary education activities. We are two years into an exchange program between youth in the US with our students in Pakistan where the groups communicate via blog, Q&A, pictures, and drawings.
