Target demographics: Infants, children, and adults who face a life-limiting illness are hospice patients. Their disease diagnosis can include cancer, end-stage chronic illnesses such as lung, heart, and kidney disease, Alzheimer’s, dementia, strokes, ALS, and neurological diseases.

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Welcome visitors to our hospice care center; sit with a patient allowing their caregiver time away to shop or get their hair done; stuff envelopes; help maintain our 1 acre garden; make a ‘meal of love’ for families at the care center; volunteer for an event; talk to your Doctor about the importance of Hospice; Invite us to talk to your group or civic organization.

I have known abou Lower Cape Fear Hospice for a long time as I am a retired Nurse.
